Gracie's 1

I thought I'd pay a little tribute to Gracie considering the fact that she just turned 1 and all. She's an amazing little kid that Gracie. It's been so fun watching her grow up. I always love watching to see what kind of personality my kids will have. Gracie was born October 19th 2007. She was born at 8:20, weighed 8 pound and was 20 inches long. Gracie is a very happy kid. She loves to smile and make others smile. She does have her clingy whinny moments, mostly when she's teething or sick, but for the most part she's a very happy kid. She loves her brother and sisters. She tries to go where ever they are and no one can get a giggle out of her quite like her siblings can. As a mom I must say, it's the cutest thing I've ever seen.

We think she's very smart (I know, all parents think their kids are smart, but Gracie is.) She's not walking yet, but is standing on her own more and more and she's recently decided it's fun to walk while someones holding her hands. She loves the phone. She picks up anything resembling a phone, puts it to her ear and says 'hello.' I think that's pretty impressive for a 1 year old. She also likes the remote control. She knows which button turns on the TV and never misses a chance to turn it on or off or change the channels. She's also showing some signs of being girly (with Hannah just older than her I don't think she'll have much chance) She loves necklaces and bracelets and we'll often see her with headbands around her neck and hair things on her wrist. She's very curious and loves to unload the kitchen and bathroom drawers for me. She also LOVES the dishwasher and can hear it open from her bedroom.

She's by far the worst sleeper we have, which has taken some getting used to. She's down to one nap and sometimes that's only 30 minutes or so. Luckily she goes to bed early and sleeps through the night. It's been so fun to look back on Gracie's first year of life. She's changed so much, but at the same time she's always been Gracie. We're so grateful to have her in our family.

One of Gracie's favorite places to play, the drawer.

What a cute tribute to Gracie! It was so funny to read about her because she sounds exactly like my Jackson!(except for the braclets and head bands) Let's set them up in 16 years!
