Christmas Sunday

The day after Christmas this year was, of course, Sunday. We were lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa Newbry with us still and enjoyed a nice Christmas sacrament. Before church Grandpa Newbry took a picture of our little family. Okay, so we're not that little anymore. WOW! How did we get so big? I couldn't decide which one was better, but I thought they were both pretty good. Thanks Grandpa.

Christmas Day

My beautiful Sarah Kate on Christmas day.

After playing with Santa's gifts for awhile, it was time to open all those wrapped presents taking up room by Mr. Christmas Tree. The kids opened gifts from their siblings, Grandma and Grandpa, and cousins. Thanks EVERYONE for all the gifts you gave.

The homemade gift Sarah made for me. Very creative.

Ben spent most of Christmas Eve night and a lot of Christmas morning building his Lego ship he got from Grandma and Grandpa Gass. With a little help from Daddy, he finally got it done.

Adam opening his gift from Ben.

Ben playing with the Zibit he got from Gracie.

Sarah with her new lion Webkinz.

Gracie loves her new elephant Webkinz.

It was time to open Grandma's big gift from Grandpa. She was definitely not short on helpers.

It was a popcorn popper for their hot tub room.

Of course we had to try it out.

The kids loved watching it pop.

Opening gifts from the Newbry cousins.

Hannah loved her '12 Dancing Princess' Barbie.

Dan got a phone from the movie 'Toy Story 2.' He loved it.

Next was the books from Grandma and Grandpa Holderness. My kids are loved by many.

After all the other gifts were opened it was time for more playing and hanging out. The kids loved all their gifts and I loved being able to watch them play with their gifts. Even though I miss my family, I think we'll be spending all our holidays at home from now on. They go by too quickly and I don't want to miss them.

Hannah playing with her Barbie and Daniel playing with his phone. Thanks Zack and Cadence!

Gracie playing with her Fairies tent she got from her cousin Gabbi.

Playing BINGO with Grandma.

Just hanging out on the couch.

Hatching Fluffy from his egg.

The kids all enjoyed teaching Fluffy new tricks and playing with him.

After a day full of fun and relaxation it was time for dinner.

"Here Comes Santa Claus"

Waiting to head upstairs and see what Santa brought.

Christmas morning finally came and the kids were so excited to see what Santa got them. They seemed excited with their gifts and have been enjoying them since Christmas.

Adam and Dan went upstairs together. Adam wasn't too thrilled, but Dan loved his toys. His favorite was his new dagger, it's the perfect size for him.

Gracie was next. She enjoyed her gifts from Santa and nicely stopped for a quick picture.

Hannah was next to come upstairs. He favorite thing was her boy Barbie with a head (the other boy Barbie's head fell off, in case you didn't get that.)

Ben was next. He too got a Nerf sword and was immediately ready for battle.

Sarah was soooo excited right after reaching the top stair. She first saw her 'Harry Potter' poster and was too jumping for joy.

After everyone came upstairs and discovered what Santa brought, it was time to sit back and enjoy our gifts. This year we got to stay home and play with the kids and Grandma and Grandpa and it was so nice. I loved being in our own home spending so much time not doing much of anything. It was such a relaxing holiday.

Dan enjoyed the M&M's from his stocking (and everyone else's stockings as well.)

Ben got a 'Ben 10' alien set in which he's able to create his own alien men. It takes this love of creating Lego mystery guys to a new level.

Hannah, Sarah, and Mom playing with the girls toys.

I think Gracie loved Adam's piggy bank more than she loved her own gifts.

Adam enjoyed hanging out with Grandma and watching the kids have fun.

One of the first things Hannah and Gracie did was look to see if Santa ate his cookies. She was so happy to discover his Eggnog was almost all gone.

"Look mom. Santa took bites out of his cookies."

Dan found Ben's mace and even though is was a little heavy for him, he couldn't help but try and swing it around.

Hannah loved her big set of Disney classic books.

Hannah and Sarah playing with Sarah's new Liv doll.

One of the alien mystery guys Ben built.

I don't know why, but I just thought this picture of Dan was hilarious.

The family got a PlayStation Move for Christmas and the kids loved playing with their new pet Fluffy.

Grandma and Grandpa Newbry helped the kids get Kenny and I gifts for Christmas. Kenny got a 'Cars' PlayStation game and I got a Christmas cookbook.

After playing with our toys from Santa for awhile, we had a great Christmas breakfast of French Toast, Ham, and Eggs prepared by Kenny. Yummy!

The little girls are ready for breakfast.

Mr. Christmas Tree was our only tree this year. We piled up all our presents around him and Dan and Adam were kind enough to sit in a picture for us.

Getting Ready For Santa

After jammies it was time to get ready for Santa to come. Before we started getting ready for Santa, Grandma and Grandpa had a surprise gift for Kenny and I. They got us a new camera for Christmas. Ours hasn't been taking the best pictures and they thought we might like a new one. We were totally surprised and blown away by their thoughtfulness. We've really enjoyed using it and posting pictures and video's for everyone to enjoy.

Opening our surprise gift from Grandma and Grandpa.

The camera is wonderful and we're so grateful for it.

After opening up our camera it was time to get ready for Santa to come:

Dan loved his jammies and was being very silly in them. I think he'd gotten his second wind and was doing his best to stay awake.

Yay for Daniel.

The girls were very excited to set out cookies for Santa.

Santa has eggnog at our house. We think it's a nice break from all the milk he gets everywhere else.

Dan enjoyed wandering around the kitchen dragging the ClickStart keyboard around. It's amazing any toy survives the toddler years.

Finally it was time to put out the stockings. The TV stand was a popular area this year.

Adam was still asleep when we put out the stockings and Gracie wanted to make sure we didn't forget his stocking.

After getting everything ready for Santa to come it was time for bed, time for 6 little kids to go to bed so the Jolly Old Elf himself could come. Everyone was so excited and couldn't wait for the next morning.
