Our Last Day in Zions

Daniel loved playing in the dirt and singing songs. He just came alive while
camping and it was so fun to watch.
We were so sad to see our last in Zions come. The we were all having a great time and enjoying the weather, camping in our tent, the dirt and hikes, the beauty and so many other things. We decided to make our last day a good one by going on another hike. We began the morning with baths for everyone, which worked really good in our shower tent. The warm water was great and we'll definitely be using it again. After baths we packed up camp and headed to the visitor center to choose a hike.

Bathing the little boys
The hike we settled on was Hidden Canyon. It was a longer hike with some intimidating spots (next time we're definitely bring harnesses for the kids) but the kids did a great job. We hiked to the arch in the canyon, but it was quite cold in the canyon so we didn't stay too long. The kids were cold and tired by the time we got  out of the canyon, but they all said they really enjoyed it.

Dad and the kids headed up to Hidden Canyon.
Dan and I at one of the chain areas.
Dan was an awesome hiker on all the hikes we went on.
At the arch inside the canyon. Sometimes when you ask someone to take a picture for you, your never know what your going to get. In this case, we did not get the arch.  Oh well!
After going down the really scary chain area. The kids did great, but we'll never do it again without harnesses.
Walking down the stairs. Dan's favorite part.
Walking down the switchbacks.

After our hike to Hidden Canyon we weren't quite ready to go home. We decided to head back to the Emerald Pools one last time to hike up to the upper pools. It was a nice hike with a beautiful pool at the end. Zions is so beautiful and the Emerald Pools didn't disappoint. The waterfall falling into the pool was beautiful and the kids had fun splashing around in the water. It was a perfect way to end our first family vacation.
