Bye, Bye Trailer

The Holderness family reunion began on June 26th and even though we tried, we just didn't make it out on time. We finally got the trailer and the Suburban packed up and headed out a few hours late. We got on the road only to find traffic really, really backed up. We finally made to to the light right before getting on the freeway. As we stopped, waiting to get on the freeway we heard a crash and got pushed forward. Looking behind us we saw a pick up truck smashed into our trailer. We dragged it off the road and looked at the damage. It was so disappointing. It was smashed up, the tongue was bent and we knew it was going to be considered totaled (which it was).  Luckily we weren't far from home so we got the other guys information and dragged the trailer home. After unloading all our camping stuff and fitting what we could into the Suburban, we were on the road again. It was such a sad, sad day for us. We love our trailer and all the work Kenny put into it was hard for him to see destroyed. Adam summed it up best, "Mommy someone broke-d out trailer." We'll miss our trailer very much. It served us well and took us lots of places.

Trailer tongues are not supposed to look like that.
