Too Young To Go Bald

Ben had a rough go of things this summer. We started noticing some balding spot on the top of his head in June, and by July there were 2 and they were very, very noticable. We were extreemely worried about him and contimplated taking him to the doctor. After doing some research we determined that Ben had been pulling his hair out while he was sleeping. He didn't remember doing it, but here was a pile of hair under the head of his bed. When he was younger he used to suck his fingers and twirls his hair. For some reason when summer came he not only twirled his hair while sleeping, but he began pulling it out. We decided the best thing to do was to break the habits once and for all. We grounded him from the PlayStation (this was the time he sucked his fingers the most) and he worked really hard on not sucking them anymore. We cut his hair really short so he couldn't twirl in and pull it out. It took almost all summer, but he did break both habits and by the time school started his hair had mostly grown back and you couldn't even tell it looked so bad months earlier.

Ben's 2 bald spots.

This was the only picture I could find of his short hair. He
hated the bald spots and always wore a cap.
