Farm Country

Petting the horses.
Beautiful, fantastic weather on a late March day warranted a trip to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. We pet and rode horses, went on a wagon ride pulled by a tractor, played in their buildings, and enjoyed seeing all the other animals. It was a perfect spring day.

Dan riding the big, white horse.
Adam loved the horses.
Gracie got one of the biggest horses.
Playing in the jail.  HaHa. My kids are goofballs.

The New Aquarium

Trying to touch a stingray through the glass.
We have been waiting and waiting for the new aquarium in Salt Lake to open. It was suppose to open in December but they were having problems with things and weren't able to get it opened until March. As soon as we heard they were opening we got a membership and were able to go to the members only day the weekend before they were opened. The aquarium wasn't finished yet, but they allow members to come in and see what we were in store for. We were impressed with what we saw and we're excited to see it all done.
We loved the shark tank that you can walk in. It was really cool.
The kids really enjoyed seeing fish, sharks, stingrays, and turtles swimming all around them.
The Amazon room was cool and the kids love the rope bridge.
Adam's favorite was the otter.
More fun with the otter.
The otter cage had a fun little tunnel you could climb in and see the
otters from all different directions.
We all loved the penguins.
Of course we had to stop and visit the gift shop.
Dan's ready to fight some underwater creatures.

Swing Time

This spring was a mild one and the kids were excited to get out of the house. The first day of spring brought some lovely weather so I took the 3 kids to the swing park after Gracie got out of school. They had a lot of fun and I got a good work out doing tons of underdogs.

It's Great To Be 8!

Hannah with all her gifts.
Hannah turned 8 on a Sunday this year and she we had a very busy day. We opened presents before church and then when we got home from church Grandma and Grandpa Gass came over to see us. They had just returned from their 2 week trip to Singapore and they brought the kids some presents. They stayed and shared some of Hannah's cake before they had to go. It was a busy and fun day and she felt very loved. Now she can't wait to be baptized in a few weeks.

Monster's Inc dolls from Grandma and Grandpa Newbry.
Hannah loves Dr. Suess and she love the book of many stories we got her.
I love this shot and even though Gracie is blurry I had to include her.
Both girls were so excited that Hannah got Anna for Disney Infinity.

Hannah was so excited to get the horse stable. I love that my kids love Lego's.
This is the face that says, "I got roller blades? I've always wanted roller blades."
Playing with the Lego's while waiting for church.

The cake. (She likes the color pink.)
Singing Happy Birthday to my sweet Hannah.
Blowing out the candles. All 8 of them.

Big Kids Turn With The Dino's

Gotta love dinosaur bones.
Just as I suspected, the big kids were not too thrilled about my trip with the little boys to the dinosaur museum. Sometimes it's just not fair that you have to go to school. I decided to allow them to go as well, but the had to wait a few days, we were just way too busy. Two days later we loaded up and headed to the museum after school. They loved seeing everything again, building dinosaurs, playing in the sand, and they really enjoyed the new (to us) creativity room before you enter the museum. We had so much fun that daddy walked over after work and joined us and we stayed way later than we should have. What fun it is to be a kid (and a parent.)
