Day Before Easter Fun

The second cousins.

The day before Easter was a very fun filled day. We started the day off with a neighborhood spring party complete with cotton candy, bounce houses, an Easter egg hunt, and lots of fun with friends. When that was over we headed to my cousins Kelli's new house for a fun Easter party. My Aunt Paula was in town from California and my parents came down from Logan. We had my Aunt Val come, my cousins Becky and Sara, my brother even came, and my cousin Jenny form Las Vegas was in town. Kelli and Aunt Paula went all out on planning and had lots of fun for the kids. We had a great lunch and everyone got an Easter basket and the kids all went on a huge Easter egg hunt. My kids were in heaven and I really enjoyed seeing and visiting with family that I rarely see.

Cotton candy is always a hit.
I sure do love this messy face.

Dying Easter Eggs
Let it be known that a miracle happened in the Newbry household this Easter. We actually dyed our Easter eggs before Easter. I know, totally unheard of, but we did. Easter was on April 20th this year and we got our eggs dyed on the 17th. I can't tell you how excited the kids were and how proud of me I was. Go us. Now enjoy the pictures.

Easter Eggs A Day Late

I'm so good at letting the kids dye Easter eggs, but I'm even better at waiting to long to let them and so having to let them dye Easter eggs after Easter has come and gone. Hey, at least I get around to letting them dye them. I should get brownie points for that, right? Well, this year was no exception. We dye Easter eggs for family home evening the day after Easter. The kids didn't seem to mind and had a lot of fun making their different creations.

Easter Sunday

My crazy kids on Easter Sunday.
Easter Sunday was on March 31st this year. After church we came home to candy from the Easter Bunny and one of our favorite movies, "Wreck It Ralph." We had a fun little Easter egg hunt in the back yard. It was a simple Easter, but sometimes that just what you need.

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter this year. When we got home from church we discovered the Easter Bunny had visited out house.  The kids got to see what was left in there baskets and then we headed out to the back yard to  look for Eater Eggs.  It was a great way to spend Easter.
