Aquarium Fun

Just a few more pictures from the Aquarium. We really do enjoy going to the aquarium and it's been fun to see all the things they've added each time we go back.

Petting the starfish and stingrays is something new
they added since the last time we went.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Grandma with all the kids (minus Charlie who didn't want to be in the picture.)
We decided to stop off at my parents house on our way home from seeing Mike and Sarah. It was my mom's birthday and I thought it would be fun to surprise her. I called my dad a few days before to make sure he would have her home and, well, he decided to make it a bigger surprise. He got a cake and ice cream, called my Aunt and Uncle, cousin, my grandpa, and my brother even came from Salt Lake. We all showed up at roughly the same time and surprised her for her birthday. It was a great surprise that was so unlike my dad, but he did well.  :)

Blowing out the candles with a little help from the kids.
Yummy chocolate cake.

Dad got mom an IPod Mini. Another huge surprise from him.

A Visit From The Other Newbry's

Kenny's brother and his family have been living in Colorado for the last couple of years. We haven't seen much of them, but when they surprised everyone with a quick trip to my in-laws for conference weekend, we knew we had to go. They have 3 boys, and one on the way, and Ben was soooooo excited to play with his favorite cousin Travis. We played games, flew kites, made treat and ate way too much, had a talent show, and just enjoyed each others company. It was great to see them and rumor has it their thinking of moving to Utah. We can only hope.

Gracie singing a made up song at the talent show.
Hannah sang a song from Frozen, of course.
Everyone sang, "Everything is Awesome" from the Lego Movie to end the talent show.
Of course we had to have some of grandpa's huckleberry ice cream.
Yummy!!!!
Aunt Sarah showing off the delicious ice cream.
Daddy brought out the kites and the kids all had fun flying them and chasing them.

We haven't seen much of Trapper in his short life, but he sure is a cutie.

2 Little Bunnies Sitting in a Tree . . .

Sarah holding a baby bunny.
We had these great little female bunnies that the kids loved. They were kind of a pain sometimes, but we enjoyed them and we liked watching them play together. When we moved we had to put the bunnies downstairs because there wasn't really any place on the main floor for them. They kind of got forgotten sometimes and though they still got fed and had water, most of the time, they didn't get much attention any more. So one April 4th I was really, really surprised by the new Gracie gave me.
The 3 baby bunnies, so cute and little.
We were just about to head out to a speech meeting at the school when Gracie came running upstairs. She said, very quickly, "Mommy, Cinnamon turned into a boy and they got married and had babies." I said, "Ummmm, what?" I quickly ran downstairs and sure enough we had 3 little hairless baby bunnies in our cage. Apparently we didn't have 2 female bunnies after all. The kids were thrilled, I was shocked, but we all loved watching the bunnies grow up.

Hannah liked the dark one. It was the runt of the liter and oh so cute.

Fun In The Snow

I love my family and all of our adventures.
After our afternoon at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens we went to Chuck-a-Rama for dinner, another of Hannah's requests. After dinner the grandparents had to go home, but we didn't want to be finished with our fun day so we headed up into the mountains to see if we could find any snow. We did indeed find some up near Brighton Ski Resort, we actually found a lot of it. We just had to stop and play in it. I love days like this when we get to make so many wonderful memories.

Daddy helping Adam in the snow.
None of the kids were brave enough to jump in the snow so daddy had to show them how.
Cute little Adam loves the snow.
Blowing a snowball. What a goofball.
Daniel, well, he learned to enjoy the snow.
Beautiful Gracie
After Kenny showed them how to jump in the snow the kids had
a lot of fun letting dad throw them in the snow.
Ben's turn. During the throw. . .
And after.  It was a success.

Sarah was not at all sure about getting in the snow but after
some time she did venture into it and even had some fun.
Going for a walk in the snow. What a great day!

After Baptism Fun

We asked Hannah what she wanted to do after her baptism and the one place she wanted to go was to the gardens at Thanksgiving Point. It was perfect timing because they just happened to open up for the season the very weekend of her baptism. The flowers weren't out yet, but it was still beautiful and it was made even more special by the fact that both sets of grandparents came with us. Hannah was in heaven that this day was all for her and that she was able to have both grandparents share in her day.

We got a golf cart for grandpa because he still wasn't able to
walk very well on it after his surgery.
The kids loved the golf cart.
Gotta run around on all the grass.
Oh to be a kid again.
Sarah was having fun showing off many things at the gardens.
She's such a silly kid.
Sarah showing off the carousel. I bet it's beautiful when the flowers are in bloom.
Both sets of grandparents were so impressed with the waterfall. It is beautiful.
Playing with daddy near the waterfall.

Happy Baptism Day

Getting ready to be baptized.
Because of conference weekend, Hannah's baptism was moved up to March 29th. She was so excited to get baptized a little early and she didn't even mind that she didn't know anyone in our ward. She was just happy to get baptized. We had a rough and stressful morning, that happens sometimes with 6 kids, and so we didn't get any good pictures, but it didn't matter to Hannah. She was glowing the entire day and I was so proud of her for her decision to get baptized.
Daddy and Hannah. So excited.
Gotta be silly.
Being silly.
Hannah's baptism was so wonderful. She was so excited and loved every minute of it. She looked beautiful, had a special grow and happiness about her. We didn't have to wait too long for her turn to be baptized and when it was time she was nervous but so excited. She said she felt peace when she was done being baptized and I loved watching her happy face. After her baptism we got some group pictures and then had some fun with the grandparents afterwards. It was a great day all for Hannah.
